The Effects of Supartz
A course of Supartz therapy can helprelieve
pain, improve mobility and get back to exercising. Exercising arthritic joints helps in reducing
pain and fatigue, increasing range of motion, and helps to feel better overall.
Like all medicines, Supartz may cause minor side effects. Common side effects include back pain, mild bruising,
heat, redness, swelling, or pain at the injection site, temporary achy feeling, and temporary knee inflammation.
However, many people who received Supartz joint therapy experienced no or minor side effects.
Allergic reactions such as rash hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in
the chest, and swelling of the mouth, face lips, or tongue may also occur. It is therefore important to seek
medical attention immediately if severe adverse effects occur when using Supartz.
At your appointment, your doctor may use local anesthetic to numb your knee.
Afterwards, Supartz will be injected into the joint space. You may be advised to refrain from doing strenuous
activities for a couple of days after the injection.
